  1. Does it benefit Richmond community, using local assets, providing local jobs?
  2. Is it Carbon neutral or better yet Carbon Negative? (GHG emissions and offets)
  3. Does it work with suppliers to stay within carrying capacity of ecosystem? (considering lifespan of supplies and products)
  4. Does it produce goods and services that are in demand locally or regionally? (able to survive post-peak oil)
  5. Are some profits invested in local community? (incl. living wages)
  6. Does it hold some assets in community trust?  (ex: land trust)
  7. Is it governed by directors who can be voted in/out by local community, and is it independently audited by triple-bottom-line auditors?
