Basic Procedure:

  • at bottom of bucket, put a layer of carbon (shredded newspaper or bran or dry bokashi
  • lasagna: 1-2 inches of fairly dry kitchen waste, barely covered with bokashi ...repeat
  • always press down the material after each new input, to keep the air out
  • when full, let it sit 2 more weeks to finish fermentation 
  • put in compost, worm bin , bury in garden,  or donate to municipal green can pickup
